Kyle Braatz
Chief Executive Officer
Kyle Braatz is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fullscript, the leading care delivery platform for whole person medicine.
Kyle co-founded Fullscript in 2011. Under Kyle’s direction, Fullscript quickly became an innovator in healthcare technology, now serving over 100,000 healthcare professionals and over 6 million patients in the USA and Canada, closing in on $1billion in annual revenue.
In 2023, Kyle joined the Ottawa Senators partnership group, adding hockey ownership to his resume. This opportunity has accelerated his greatest passion: helping others. Kyle and his wife have actively partnered with the Ottawa Senators Foundation driving programs that align with their values and adding to the $4.5M they’ve already helped raise to date for charitable initiatives that matter most to them.
Ashley Koch
President and Chief Financial Officer
As President and Chief Financial Officer, Ashley Koch has a proven track record in driving enterprise value creation and operational performance in healthcare. She brings a diverse skill set in partnering with the business to accelerate growth, building infrastructure and processes to drive performance, and developing and actioning insights to execute enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
Prior to Fullscript, Ashley was CFO of Shields Health Solutions, a PE-backed accelerator and integrator of specialty pharmacies for health systems, and CFO of Steward Medical Group, the largest multi-specialty provider group as part of a national PE-backed integrated health care system. Ashley began her career in financial advisory services and portfolio operations for Cerberus Capital Management.
Jeff MacDonald
Chief Product Officer
As Chief Product Officer, Jeff MacDonald leads the growth of Fullscript’s digital products. He oversees Product Management and Product Design, with a focus on aligning Fullscript’s product investments with the company’s vision and strategy.
Jeff brings 10+ years of experience building and leading product teams of all sizes, from large multinationals to technology start-ups. Prior to joining Fullscript, Jeff held product leadership positions at a number of technology companies, including MindBridge AI, You.i TV and IBM.
Kevin Purcell
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating officer, Kevin Purcell is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Fullscript, driving operational improvements across the organization, and leading strategic direction of supply chain US and Canadian footprint.
From May to October of 2022, Kevin played a critical role as Chief Transformation Officer during the integration of Fullscript and Emerson Ecologics post-acquisition. In this role, he partnered with the executive team to identify and realize combined company synergies. Prior to his time at Fullscript, Kevin held the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Emerson Ecologics.
Dr. Jeff Gladd
Chief Medical Officer
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jeffrey Gladd advises on company and product direction from the perspective of integrative and family medicine. He has been a member of the Fullscript Medical Advisory Team since 2019. In 2010, Dr. Gladd opened GladdMD Integrative Medicine, blending health-promoting care with high access technology. In 2011, he created and launched the web’s first nutrient depletion calculator, Mytavin.com.
With the success of GladdMD, Dr. Gladd has become a sought-after speaker in his field, speaking at TEDx and being featured in various industry publications. Dr. Gladd graduated from medical school in 2001 and after successfully opening a family practice, shifted focus to achieving health through nutrition. In 2009, he completed the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine fellowship program under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil, MD.
Kurtis Funai
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Kurtis Funai manages a team that spreads across eight different technology functions. Kurtis was Fullscript’s fourth employee, leading the product engineering team for many years before serving as VP of Engineering, and now as Chief Technology Officer.
Kurtis built the engine that powers the Fullscript platform. He has been the lead on the development of the company’s primary prescription tool, as well as its powerful refill engine, and has adapted the software to support hospital systems, multi-location clinics, and multi-staff practices. He has also led the development of an API to host integrations with electronic health record (EHR) systems — making Fullscript the first virtual dispensary to do so and setting an industry-standard in the process.
Kenneth Buttermore
Executive Vice President
Ken joined Fullscript as the former CEO of Emerson Ecologics, with a proven track record of value creation, strategic re-alignment, operational execution, and business transformation. As Executive Vice President, Ken Buttermore leads brand partner strategy and supply chain operations, and is a key member of the teams driving strategic planning and corporate development.
Before his role at Fullscript, and in addition to his role as CEO at Emerson Ecologics, Ken served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and SVP of Corporate Development. Concurrent and prior to his time at Emerson, Ken served as Managing Director at Liberty Lane Partners (the owner of Emerson Ecologics) where he executed investments and partnered with operating company management teams in industries such as life sciences, diagnostics, health & wellness, and advanced materials. Ken has also held key roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and its predecessor Fisher Scientific International Inc. where he specialized in identifying and executing merger, acquisition, and investment transactions. Early in his career, Ken worked in the investment banking industry.
Christopher Catallo
Chief Commercial Officer
As Chief Commercial Officer, Christopher Catallo brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and technology. As the former CEO of HealthNxt and Chief Digital Officer of Tech Mahindra Health & Life Sciences, Chris has been instrumental in simplifying the digital health experience and driving patient engagement through technology.
His visionary leadership and deep domain expertise play a critical role in advancing Fullscript’s strategy. Known for his deep expertise in digital consumer and patient experiences, Chris was previously President and CCO of Healthgrades, driving patient engagement strategies across numerous health systems.
Dennis Richter
Chief People Officer
As Chief People Officer, Dennis Richter is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in leading global teams, excelling in process improvements, and driving operational efficiencies. Prior to joining Fullscript, Dennis served as the Chief People Officer at Ad Hoc and held significant roles at Meta and Google.
His extensive experience in leading global teams and his passion for innovative solutions support an elevated and invograted workplace culture. Dennis is a proud US Army veteran and world traveler who enjoys staying physically active, cooking, hiking, and contributing to his community.
Steven Eisenberg
General Counsel
Steve Eisenberg serves as General Counsel for Fullscript, bringing over 28 years of legal expertise to drive strategic initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance. He excels in managing complex legal matters and providing strategic counsel in high-growth environments.
Prior to Fullscript, Steve was Chief Legal and Administrative Officer at U.S. Acute Care Solutions, leading legal, risk, compliance, marketing, and HR. He played a pivotal role in the company’s growth. Before that, he was the first Counsel at AssuraMed, guiding its growth and acquisition by Cardinal Health, where he remained as part of the leadership team.
Steve began his career in private practice, mostly with BakerHostetler, where he was a partner in the business group, representing healthcare companies in regulatory, contractual, and transactional matters. His extensive background in healthcare law and strategic business acumen make him a key member of Fullscript’s leadership team.
Christy Lynn White
Chief of Staff
Christy joined Fullscript in early 2018 and has served in several key roles during her time with the company. As Chief of Staff, Christy acts as the right hand to the CEO, with a specific focus on further developing and operationalizing Fullscript’s strategic plans, mitigating risk, eliminating silos, and advancing crucial projects across the organization. Prior to joining Fullscript, Christy served in key roles with Nautel Limited and the Government of Canada.
Bill Conrad
Partner, HGGC
Bill Conrad’s background is in banking and investments, working as an Investment Banking Analyst in the industrial group of UBS before joining KPS Capital Partners as a Vice President. At KPS, Bill was responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing control investments across a diverse range of industries.
He has since joined HGGC as an investment partner and member of its Management Committee and Investment Committee. He is involved in all aspects of investment sourcing, underwriting, execution, and portfolio management and realization. He is active in the firm’s Fund IV investments in Aceable, as well as Fund III investments in AMI, Monotype Imaging, Beauty Industry Group, and Better Being.
Mark Grabowski
Managing Partner,
Snapdragon Capital Partners
Mark Grabowski has over twenty years of private equity experience. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in the Financial Sponsors Group and held roles as an associate at AEA Investors, Managing Director at L Catterton, and Partner at TPG Growth before establishing Snapdragon Capital Partners.
Mark’s prior investments include Corepower Yoga, a leading provider of yoga services, Peloton, the largest provider of at-home fitness, and Angie’s Boomchickapop, a healthy snacking business. Mark attended Dartmouth College for his undergraduate studies and received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Paul Meister
Partner, Novalis LifeSciences
Paul is a partner at Novalis LifeSciences, a life-sciences venture fund and co-founder of Liberty Lane Partners, a private investment company. He serves as Chairman of Arbor Biotechnologies and Amneal Pharmaceuticals and is on the board of Aptiv PLC, Quanterix, Ori Biotech, Sherlock Biosciences and several other early-stage life science tools and diagnostic companies.
Previously Paul served as Chairman of Thermo Fisher Scientific and Vice Chairman of Fisher Scientific International. He also served as Chairman and CEO of inVentiv Health (now Syneos Heath), and president of MacAndrews and Forbes. Paul earned a MBA from Northwestern University and a BA from the University of Michigan and serves on the board of Michigan’s Life Sciences Institute, and the Provost’s Advisory Council.
Dr. Stephen Kahane
Executive Chairman,
Groups Recover Together
Dr. Stephen Kahane is a physician and healthcare technology leader known for guiding companies through significant growth and successful exits, including the sales of Cloudmed to R1 and Signify Health to CVS. He serves as Executive Chairman at Groups Recover Together and is a board member at tech and tech-enabled healthcare companies including Kyruus, Suki and Earned Wealth. Previously, as a President at athenahealth, he played a key role in its substantial revenue growth.
With deep experience in private equity and venture capital, Dr. Kahane has led companies like AMICAS and VitalWorks through significant strategic expansions. Earlier in his career, he served as medical director at Johns Hopkins and continues to serve as an advisor to the Dean for the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.
Solmaz Shahalizadeh
Head of Data and
Founding Partner, Backbone
Solmaz Shahalizadeh is an executive and advisor in data and product, and a founding partner of Backbone Angels, a collective focused on funding more diverse and women-founded companies. Most recently, she was the Vice President and head of Data at Shopify (NYSE: SHOP), helping it grow from 100K to 1.75M+ merchants from 2013 to 2022. In her role, Solmaz was the senior leadership team’s voice of data, evangelized a data-informed culture across the company, and played a critical role in their successful IPO in 2015.
With a passion for data-powered experiences, she started and scaled Shopify’s machine learning product portfolio and grew its data team to 500+ data scientists, engineers, and product managers. Additionally, she led the suite of merchant-facing analytical products to give Shopify merchants best-in-class analytical experiences. Solmaz is passionate about entrepreneurs and data, spending her time coaching, advising, and investing in companies that want to leverage their data for better experiences.
Solmaz won the Globe and Mail’s 2020 Report on Business Best Executive award and the Ottawa Business Journal’s 2021 Forty Under 40, both recognizing her leadership and work in Technology.
Ninan Chacko
CEO, Monotype
Ninan Chacko is the Chief Executive Officer at Monotype, one of the largest providers of typography, technology, and expertise to creative professionals. In this role, he oversees a global organization of more than 750 employees, partnering with iconic brands and transforming the adoption and use of digital fonts industry-wide.
Prior to his tenure with Monotype, Chacko served as Senior Advisor to McKinsey, as the Chief Executive Officer for Travel Leaders Group and PR Newswire, and as Chief Commercial Officer for Worldspan. Ninan holds an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas. He has also completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and the London Business School’s Spencer Stuart Directors’ Forum.
Leon Chen
Managing Partner, Kayne Anderson
Leon Chen is a Managing Partner of Kayne Anderson’s growth capital activities. He is primarily responsible for identifying and analyzing investment opportunities, monitoring of portfolio companies, and deal execution. Chen is a member of Kayne Partners Investment Committee. His areas of investment focus include software and tech-enabled businesses across media and telecom, business services, supply chain and logistics, and healthcare.
Over the years, Chen has developed an investment thesis centered around the use of technology in healthcare to drive greater value for patients and users, improved outcomes, and quality of care in delivery and operations. Leon was recognized as a Leader of Influence in Private Equity by Los Angeles Business Journal and was selected as a Top 25 Healthcare Investor of 2022 by GrowthCap. Chen graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a B.B.A in Finance.
Aimee Miller
Go-to-market advisor
Aimee Miller is a strategic Go-to-market advisor with significant expertise in all areas of marketing strategy and execution. Aimee most recently served as the CMO (2009-2022) of AppFolio (NASDAQ:APPF) a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for the real estate industry, where she built and led all aspects of marketing and corporate communications from company launch, through a successful IPO (2015) and during years of rapid growth. She was instrumental in creating an award-winning culture and brand, and during her tenure at AppFolio the company grew to $450M in revenue and over 18K customers.
Prior to AppFolio, Aimee led Strategic Accounts and B2B Marketing at Citrix Online (acquired by LogMein, now GoTo), where she was involved in the launch and marketing of some of their earliest SasS offerings. Aimee currently serves on the board of the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, the largest community-based provider of college scholarships in the United States.
Chris Schulze
Principal, HGGC
Chris Schulze is a Principal at HGGC where he is involved in all aspects of investment sourcing, underwriting, execution, and portfolio management and realization. His areas of investment focus include software and tech-enabled services businesses in both infrastructure software and various vertical markets.
Chris joined HGGC in 2016 and is active in other HGGC investments including Aceable, Entrata, Idera, and Stova. Prior to HGGC, Chris was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master in Professional Accounting and B.B.A. in Business Honors.
